Well, no one can say that Mace Software isn't keeping up with the times. They have come out with a new version of Hexx Wars, that while it has the same fun, the same nasty, smart-aleck computer opponent; but now there are several new features. Not only can you play against the computer, or a 2 person game; you can also play a network game [LAN], and you can also get into internet play, which is ICQ compatible. This feature has a handy chat window, and if you don't know of any other Hexx Wars ll players, Mace Software has a list of everyone that wants to play and has written. Contact them at http://www.macesoftware.com. The help files explain very well the differences in the different kinds of play and how to get started.

There are 12 boards, 6 in the shareware version, and the boards are much more futuristic. Even in the shareware version, you can see a thumbnail of what the boards you can't have will look like. They have an excellent set of help files, which if you know me, you know I'm real picky about bad help files. Nice sounds, cool music, they put a lot of thought into this upgrade.

Hexxwars II, in Entertainment for Win 95/98/NT
Last week I told you about 3 online games that were pretty cool (in my opinion). Well, I found another one. It's called Hexxwars. It's a mind game that requires a bit of strategy. You can play against the computer, against a friend on your network or connect to a friend with ICQ. I am pleased to announce that I am still undefeated! Check it out! And for those of you who are on my icq list I await your challenge!

Shareware Viking
Hexx Wars II is a strategic board game in which I can't seem to stop playing. I found that the levels of play and the 12 different boards keep me coming back. Mace Software, Inc. maintains a list of email addresses of players looking for others to play via Internet. This is perfect for some clean, non-violent fun. If you can't find an opponent to play, you may Play Against Computer. This is a game for all Vikings that like a REAL challenge!! Easy install : Easy Game play. Excellent Graphics and sound

The Original Hexx Wars was designed to be one of the best strategy board games for Windows 95. Now the sequel arrives with improved DirectX graphics and an interface built especially for Windows 98. All of the intense play is still there, but with better sound and a wider range of player capabilities.
